2nd Floor East Sanctuary Building- Single adults
and some couples comprise this loving and caring class of individulas 50 years
of age and up.We use the
Smyth and Helwys "Formations" literature. The teaching method is lecture
with much emphasis on discussion.
- Money Class (multi-age) 2nd Floor
West
Sanctuary Building
Words used to
describe this class would be open, diverse, conversational, fun and inclusive.
Members are interested in applying Scripture to daily life and are looking for
ways to effectively serve our community. We use the Smyth and Helwys
"Formations" literature.

The Disciples' Class 1st Floor Sanctuary
Level at Hill Street- We are a class of
thirty's to late fortys singles and couples. We emphasize
community missions, fellowship and fun with at least one social activity each
month. Our class is discussion-oriented around the weeks lesson.
- Coley Class-
2nd
Floor Education Building- This
class began as a newlywed class, but now consists mostly of
couples with small children. We currently use independent studies
from that we
decide on as a class. We meet often outside of class for mission work and
fellowship.

Young Professionals Class-Mezzanine Level-
Using various literature, we enjoy good, healthy discussion each week. We
invite single or married professionals in their 20's to our class.
- Blakeley Class Mezzanine
Level- Our class is
predominantly couples, with some singles. We are in
our late thirties to middle fifties. Studies throughout the year are decided
on by the class. Our statement of mission
."to provide a safe place for
committed Christians to question and explore matters of faith and journey
together."
- Career Singles Class- 3rd Floor Education
Building- We are a discussion-based class for
singles and use Smyth and Helwys
"Formations" literature. We meet often
outside of class for social gatherings.
- First Community Class-
Heritage Room across from Chapel- Our class is
composed of adults of all ages who enjoy study and fellowship
together. We use independent studies for our curriculum.
Adult
5 (mid 40's-50's)
Third Floor Education
Building
- Hall/Reed Class-
Couples and
Singles class, ages 45 to 60. Independent literature is used. Teachers make
brief introductory presentations, followed by group discussion. Missions
involvement is very important to this class.
- Nelson Class
We use the
Smyth and Helwys
"Formations" literature. Discussion, brainstorming, case
studies, stories and lecture, along with charts and maps, are some of the
teaching methods used to guide Bible Study. Prayer and the spirit of
fellowship bind our class members together.
- Boswell Class
This class
consists of men whose ages range from mid 50s to mid 60s. Our wives are
either in Carolyn Nelsons class or in service elsewhere in the church. Our
style is lecture format currently using Lifeways "Explore
the Bible"
literature.
Deaf Adults-
2nd Floor East Sanctuary Building (Deaf Ministry Area)–
These classes are for all adults who are hearing impaired. We have a great group of adults
who also worship together as a deaf congregation in the
Chapel. |
